After a long journey from the National College for School Leadership in Nottingham, I went to meet firefighters at Weymouth Fire Station to discuss their worries about being re-located.

They were not persuaded that there was a need to move and then had concerns about the consequences of moving for retained firefighters.  I will continue to press their concerns with the Fire Authority.

Then on to Portland to discuss primary school building and to launch a new bag scheme with the Mayor.  Thanks to pressure from the Aubergine health food shop Tim Munro has set out to make Portland the first plastic bag free island.  The canvass bags will be available through IVY.
