Jim Knight MP - Dorset's voice in Government

Welcome to my website.

It covers my work in Dorset, in Parliament, and on national campaigns. It now also contains more political information and views, with more opportunities for you to feedback what you think.

So let me know what you think,
and how I can help.

A classic Dorset viewToday I launched My South Dorset.  This is both a place to compare notes about our area but also a calendar competition!

In South Dorset we are blessed with some of the most beautiful geography and landscape in the country. My South Dorset will give you the chance to upload pictures and discuss what you like about our local area and community.

After the closing date of December 1, entries will be voted on by users of this website for my official 2008 parliamentary calendar.

A total of 12 photos will be chosen and an overall winner for the cover, with every entrant to My South Dorset getting a free copy of the calendar.

To get things started, I have submitted a number of my own pictures to My South Dorset, but it is important to stress that the website is more than just an amateur photography competition.

The aim is to build My South Dorset into online community for towns, villages and places across the constituency which will hopefully encourage discussion and debate about local issues.

To join in My South Dorset and to enter a picture, please follow the link to    http://www.flickr.com/groups/mysouthdorset

Having done that, open an account with Flickr at http://www.flickr.com, join the My South Dorset group and you’re away. Then submit your pictures of South Dorset and discuss our local area…

Good luck with the competition – remember, the closing date is December 1, 2007.

I look forward to seeing your pictures and discussing South Dorset with you.
