Tuesday 27th March 2007
I spent the day in Sheffield visiting three primary schools and opening a new secondary school. Meanwhile the extraordinary agreement was made in Northern Ireland. This is an amazing
achievement for everyone involved from John Major under the last Government through to today's politicians. The commitment to this from the Prime Minister over the last ten years has been
fantastic and has finally paid off.
Today I was also visited at Westminster by Wyke Regis Junior School. 80 year six pupils are spending the week in London. They had a tour around the Palace of Westminster and then I answered
questions in the dark environment of Westminster Hall. Southill Primary did the same last week and it clearly is a great experience for the children who learn so much from their trip away.
