After a couple of weeks away seeing my daughter in Africa today was the first day back.
I went over to Southwell Business Park on Portland to visit the Portland Spa and Fitness centre. There they asked me to turn on the hose to fill their brand new indoor swimming pool.
They've achieved a huge amount in employment growth and now they have a very high quality health and fitness facility along side an emerging first class conference centre. Their ambition
and belief in the area is an example to the rest of us.
Then on to present certificates to the first of a group of adults with learning disabilities who have achieved bronze in the Gateway Awards.
Similar to the Duke of Edinburgh Award this is brilliant for these people, giving them the confidence and self belief to go to a number of other things in their lives.
Promoted by Ray Collins, General Secretary, the Labour Party,on behalf of the Labour Party, both at 39 Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0HA.
