The Coming of Batman
The legendary character of ‘Batman was first introduced in the month of May, 1939 in a comic called Detective Comics #27. From this comic the character of Batman got so famous that it was soon later launched in a separate comic by the title ‘Batman’. The launch of this self – titled comic was in April 1940 after which only a month later the next famous character or Robin was introduced. Initially when Batman was launched it was launched as only a quarterly publication. However considering its huge popularity and success the production team later on in the 1950’s began printing it as a bi – monthly comic series. This is one such comic that remained successful for so many years and by August 13th of 2008 the company released its 679th issue of Batman.
Tale of Batman
The character of Batman was created together by the writer Bill Finger and the artist Bob Kane. Batman has also been famously known as ‘The Dark Knight’, ‘The Caped Crusader’, and ‘The Darknight Detective’. The name of the person who takes on the role of Batman is Bruce Wayne in the comic. This character of Bruce Wayne is shown as an American millionaire who later even becomes a billionaire and takes on several roles like that of being a philanthropist, industrialist and even a playboy. The character of Batman had witnessed his parents being brutally murdered when he was only a child. Since then he takes on the oath of fighting any crime happening on the face of earth and seeking justice for his parent’s death. In order to do so, Wayne trains himself vigorously to become strong both intellectually and physically so he can fight off anyone and everyone.
