After my Swanage surgery I nipped over to the coffee shop to meet with Carlotta Barrow and the Strate group of local artists to find out about their ideas trail of sites where renowned artists have painted from.  Artists such as Paul Nash, Graham Sutherland, Mark Gertler and Augustus John all painted in and around the town and the idea is to set up information boards at the various sites showing the painting and some biographical information.  I was very pleased to give it my support and was pleased that the town council is doing the same.
