I nipped back to Purbeck Gate today to cut the ribbon with the local landowner James Weld. 

This mixed development will result in some much needed affordable housing, as well as commercial market housing.  I was very pleased to hear that most of the houses sold so far have been to locals - many serving in the army at Bovington.

I also picked up on the discussions I've been having with James about how to deliver more affordable housing in his area.  He has some interesting ideas that I will discuss in Westminster with ministers.
