T. R. Knight’s full name is Theodore Raymond and he is an American actor born on the 26th of March, 1973. He was born in the town of Minneapolis in the state of Minnesota. He is famously known as his nickname T. R or Teddy. He first joined the Minneapolis Guthrie Theater which is an acting company, as its member. His most famous roles within this theatre were the character of Richard Miller in the play ‘Ah, Wilderness!’ and the character of Amadeus in the play ‘Amadeus’. He further went on to performing on the New York stage on which many of his performances like the role of ‘Joe’ in the play ‘This Lime Tree Bower’, the role of ‘Tim Allgood’ in the play ‘Noises off’, his role ‘Damis’ in the play ‘Tartuffe’ and finally his role as ‘Brendan Hilliard’ in the play ‘Anto Scattergood’ were among those who received the most praise.

T. R. Knight has received several awards over his career as an actor of which the most praised for this work in the play ‘Scattergood’ for which he was nominated for ‘Outstanding Featured Actor’ by Drama Desk. T. R. Knight’s career began at a very young age. He was very young when he played the role of a five years old boy in the play ‘Tiny Tim’ on the Guthrie Theatre stage. However, T. R. Knight’s major claim to fame in Hollywood was for his role in the hit Television series ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ in which he played the role of Dr. George O’Malley. His performance in this role made him get nominated as the ‘Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series’ by Primetime Emmy in the year 2007. T. R. Knight is now making a much anticipated comeback on Broadway in a play titled, ‘A Life in the Theatre’.
