The director Christopher Nolan did an amazing job in bringing Batman back to life in which might have been the strongest movie in a long time. He casted some really big Hollywood stars like Christian Bale who played the role of Batman, Heath Ledger who played the role of Joker along with Aaron Eckhart, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, and Maggie Gyllenhaal. The movie ‘The Dark Knight’ swept away all awards winning 2 Oscars along with 80 other wins and an amazing 63 nominations. The deceased actor Heath Ledger won the Oscar award for ‘Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role while the movie won its second Oscar for ‘Best Achievement in Sound Editing’.

Storyline

In this movie ‘The Dark Knight’, Batman teams up with Jim Gordan who is a lieutenant along with Harvey Dent who is the District Attorney, with the mission of completely destroying and removing all the evil organizations that are thriving in their city’s streets. Initially their partnership seems to be doing great until the worst known criminal, The Joker, rises creating complete chaos and fear among all the citizens of the Gotham city. Soon Batman realizes that his battle with The Joker has gotten deeper than imagined by him as he begins to take it all personal. The battle between the Joker and Batman is what creates a captivating thriller, action and drama movie. The website IMDB gives this movie a swooping 8.9 out of 10 while on Rotten Tomatoes it stands at a 94% rating.
