Wayne Knight – The Actor

Biography

Wayne Elliot Knight was born on the 7th of August, 1955 in New York City, USA. He was only an infant when his family moved to the state of Georgia in the town of Cartersville. He was raised there and ended up attending the University of Georgia in the year 1972. However he did not complete his graduation and instead opted for joining the Barter Theatre in Abingdon, state of Virginia. Soon later Wayne Knight rose to stardom by first being hired by the professional company and then later on making his first debut on Broadway in New York city. At the age of only 23, Wayne Knight was highly applauded for this outstanding performance in the comedy “Gemini”. From there on, Wayne Knight established himself as a renowned television actor by regularly making appearances on television shows and doing various films while continuing performance on the stage as well along with doing voice for animation films.

Claim to Fame

Wayne Knight’s claim to fame was from the most popular comedy television series ‘Sienfield’ that aired in 1990. He was the lead character in this widely successful show and played the role of frenetic mailman. Later on his appearance in the blockbuster movie Jurassic Park as the character of Nedry made him even more famous in Hollywood. Later on he earned even more fame by his notorious scenes in the movie ‘Basic Instinct’ in which he played the role of a detective interrogating Hollywood’s most famous actress Sharon Stone. His signature look includes extra large spectacles that he always wears along with his high – pitched voice that is recognizable anywhere.
